Garbage at Festival Cruïlla 2026!
There are bands that, after a forced break, come back with more to say than ever. Garbage is one of those cases. Thanks to their career, their ability to evolve without losing their identity, and their very clear way of understanding alternative rock, they simply had to be part of Festival Cruïlla 2026.
Let All That We Imagine Be The Light is the band’s eighth album and arrives after a difficult period for the group. In 2024, Shirley Manson had to halt the tour due to a long-standing injury that required surgery. That unexpected pause changed the band’s plans, but it also opened up a new creative space. During her recovery, Butch Vig, Duke Erikson and Steve Marker began working on new foundations, textures and atmospheres that have shaped a more reflective record, while remaining true to their sound: alternative rock with distortion, electronic elements, dark melodies and a central voice that continues to define their character. The songs talk about vulnerability, growing older and moving forward, without losing intensity or personality.
Barcelona holds a special place in the band’s history. Shirley Manson has said on more than one occasion that it was here where she felt she could show herself as vulnerable on stage without fear, and that connection with the audience has remained every time they have returned.
On Thursday, July 9, the band will return to Parc del Fòrum with an intense, honest and instantly recognizable live show, proving that their sound and their attitude are still very much alive.
